Lidocaïne by local anasthetic

Lidocaïne contains epinefrine which is a problem according to the Ashton manual

What can be used instead?

Are you referring to dental anesthesia?

Lidocaine alone does not contain epinephrine, it is just a numbing agent.  When used in dental anesthesia epi can be added to make the numbing last longer and decrease bleeding.

I have always been sensitive to epi, even before benzos, so I have all my dental work done with carbocaine.  It doesn not contain epi.
