Anxiety because my son is coming to visit today

My son is coming to visit today and I am actually anxious about it. I dont see him very often and our relationship isnt the best, but before I began to taper I was always hoping we could see each other more often and was often sad for the lack of it. OK. Ive got this out now, I feel a bit better. Anxiety is so irrational....

The anxiety did not stop. And as usual, my son didnt come.  :(

BUT I was able to get rid of my anxiety by playing online games at king.com. Good distraction and it worked! Maybe those who read this can try it. Its fun, distracting and for me a real anxiety killer.

Hi Elke,

I'm sorry your son didn't show up, but the way you handled this is very positive.  Instead of lashing out and upsetting yourself or taking an extra dose, you distracted yourself, good job!  :thumbsup:

Online games are great for distraction. I been playing aion and it really works to keep the mind occupied on other things ratherthen symptoms.

Sorry your son didn't make it..
I play RPG games, the ones that go on for days such as Final Fantasy and so on, very good distraction..
AND yes you did handle it very well.
