Anyone start Trazadone after being off bnezos for awhile?

I'm almost a year off.

 

Sleep is much more stable but I keep having trauma happen and things that are out of my control and I just need constant sleep.

 

I took Trazadone for 3 years up to 100mg after my husband left me and my children a few years back and it was great. I tapered safely off and never needed it again. This was pre-benzos.

 

I am wanting to take it again but I am scared to take any thing.

About a week ago I started taking 25 mg if I wake up middle of the night. I need to get back to sleep for work or else I don't function well. And so.far this is the only thing I can tolerate but then again it's only been about a week. I am 8 months off Ativan, used Trazodone once in awhile through taper, quit with no issues.

I've read abt someone in the protracted section who suffered trying to get off it. Maybe put the med into the search box and you'll find info. If you didn't have problems before, you might not have again. Everyone is different.
