[DJ...]
According to Ashton's Benzodiazepine equivalence table and emedicine.medscape.com, 10mg diazepam is equal to 0.5mg clonazepam (which means 5mg diazepam should be equal to 0.25 clonazepam). https://www.benzo.org.uk/bzequiv.htm According to this one, 0.25mg clonazepam is equal to 3.8mg diazepam. https://clincalc.com/Benzodiazepine/ This one says 0.25mg clonazepam is more like 2.5mg diazepam with a possible range of 0.6-5.0 mg of diazepam. https://www.mdcalc.com/benzodiazepine-conversion-calculator This sure makes it frustrating for me trying to transition from clonazepam to diazepam for an easier taper. I was averaging 0.25mg/day of clonazepam ranging from 0.125 to 0.5 depending on symptoms for two months. I jumped over to 5mg Diazepam to do a steady & even taper thinking that would match my 0.25mg clonazepam use. I hope I haven't actually increased my benzo usage with these flimsy calculators!! Does anyone have any insight or knowledge about this?
[Ch...]
These are rough equivalents. We usually reference Ashton’s table. It’s probably best to pay close attention to symptoms and do the cross slowly. I’d err in the favor of too much if it were me.
