Tried and tried to quit drinking. Finally looked into a local IOP. When they did the assessment for admission over the phone, they told me I would have

to do a detox, not just because of the alcohol but because I also took prescribed Xanax.  I said, what? What is wrong with Xanax, I was prescribed that

by my doctor for insomnia.  Alas, my difficult, very difficult,  but rewarding journey.

Congratulations on becoming benzo and alcohol free!  I'm sure it feels like such an accomplishment.
