weird congestion noise in ear?

I woke up this morning after having to take a 1/4 of a remeron for sleep last night and I have some noise like fluid in my ear. It comes and goes. There is not pain in there (yet). Is this congestion or pressure in the ear? I have read before that tapering can cause stuff like this. I have had a lot of WD symptoms but its the first time I have had stuff moving around in my ear.

As an added note I have gone thru a couple weeks of bad insomnia from cutting my dose so maybe this might be coming from it. But I was just curious if anyone else has had anything else like this....
