What are my chances of coming off (and staying off) Valium?

Hey guys,

As some of you may know, I've been holding my current dose of 5mg Valium for about a month now. If I continue my 5-10% taper after 3 month's time, what is the chances of fully coming off Valium? Is it reasonable to stabilise for so long, or do those who taper successfully just grit their teeth through the anguish?

I've been on 5mg Valium for almost a year daily. It's been a Hell show, that's for sure. However, I've had some really good windows in between, so I believe I am healing, albeit at a snail's pace.

I would try a slight decrease and see how you feel. I haven't had any experience with this but couldn't hurt to test the waters.
