APPRECIATE ADVICE on Tapering from Ativan 1mg & Temazepam 30mg

I greatly appreciate any input regarding my specific circumstance. I feel so overwhelmed and am just looking for some solid advice that will get me going in the right direction. I have been on both Temazepam 30 mg as well as Ativan 1mg (Lorazepam -currently Watson brand) for 5 years! On October 2, 2019, I began a water titration of the Temazepam with the intentions of getting off of it within 8-10 months. I know that I should focus on 1 medication at a time, however, I am really wanting to also address the Ativan now and not wait a year from now to begin that taper. I currently take 1-2 mgs of Ativan a day (usually 1mg, however). I would like to at least begin some type of taper with the Ativan alongside my Temazepam, but am uncertain where to even begin. My doctors, of course, don't know how to advise me. I was grateful to have found help on this board to even begin my taper from Temazepam. :) I would appreciate any insight at all. I understand that it may not be ideal and that if I choose to do a slow taper from both at the same time I may not be able to figure out which one may be causing withdrawal symptoms. Knowing that, I would like to do a slower than usual taper from the Ativan. I really appreciate any thoughts! :)

Well, my thought would be that you are better off only tapering only the tempazepam right now.

Are you using alcohol to dissolve your temazepam? If so, I suggest you mix your temazepam fresh every day as it seems to degrade in alcohol under some conditions. It seems to be more stable dissolved in propylene glycol. I'm not sure how straight water would affect it, but it would not dissolve it, only suspend it, and not very well.

            3.3.3  Description

Temazepam is odourless or almost odourless. It

is practically insoluble to very slightly soluble in

water; sparingly soluble in alcohol; freely soluble in

                    dichloromethane (Reynolds, 1996).
