Need advice re using 1mg of 2mg tablet for DMLT

Builder please may I ask if what you say is correct then 1mg of a 2 mg tablet could have a substantial variation from the other half

Would it still be ok  when using milk to do a DMLT to use just half a 2mg tablet,  I am so restricted on my monthly tablets I cannot risk any milk mixture going to waste by going off.  I have enough to use 1mg per day  at the moment, but not enough for 2mgs , 

If  I were to use the other half the next day would that be ok do you think?

I  appreciate from what you are a saying it would be better to use a whole tablet  and even then there is an allowable variation tablet to tablet

It is really  all about how restricted I am by the milk's freshness and the tablets I am prescribed per 4 weeks ,
