Need advice

Hello,  I’m so great full that I just found this website. I’ve been talking Clonazepam for a little over 12 years.  I also had a bad addiction to marijuana.  I just finished with treatment at Hazelden in Center City, MN  They told me on the phone that I could finish my tapper with them. My current dose was at 3mg a day.  But they lied to me and took me off cold turkey.  It has been the scariest last 4 weeks of my life!  I think my body is in shock.. i have blurred vision, hair has been falling out, extremely high blood pressure, headaches and can’t concentrate.  I really could use some advice.  Thank you

I'm very sorry to hear about your experience with being detoxed. It is a brutal way to quit a benzodiazepine and not advised except in emergencies. I'd like to give you links to some boards where you will find other members who have had similar experiences.

I’d also like to give you a link to The Ashton Manual. Dr. Heather Ashton was a pioneer in helping people get off of benzodiazepines. Her short manual is available free online. It contains basic information about benzodiazepines and tapering that is useful to both doctors and patients.
