We are happy you joined our community.  When you say quit, i hope you  don't mean stopping Xanax abruptly! benzodiazepines need to be tapered gradually.  You will receive a lot of support and information here on withdrawing from benzodiazepines.  A gradual taper of 5-10% every 10-14 days is generally recommended.  Some of us need a slower reduction, you can alter the schedule, depending how you feel.
