"Marshall doubts it was a malicious attack on the ranch, which employs 75 people, many from local communities. Silvies Valley Ranch covers 140,000 acres (57,000 hectares) of deeded and leased National Forest lands around a mile above sea level.

In 2006, a wealthy veterinarian (Veterinary Doctor Scott Campbell who bought Portland's Banfield Pet Hospital in 1987 and turned it into more than 800 clinics, many of which operate inside PetSmart stores) bought the ranch and made it a combination working ranch and an elite destination resort. It has four golf courses, a spa, shooting ranges, fishing and luxury cabins going for up to $849 per night."

Silvies Valley Ranch, Oregon does not appear to me to be a typical "dude" or cattle ranch.

It also does not appear to me to be a typical destination of "typical cult members".

But, it receives 4.5 stars out of 5 from its guests:

...weird, indeed

"I just wish I could get that good of health care for me," she says, laughing.

Others aren't quite so satisfied."

I originally posted this thread to "Chewing the Fat". It was moved to "Off Topic" by a moderator.

I probably should have posted it to "Benzos In The News" (a section of BB about benzos and other related topics) since this thread relates to a Dr. Scott Campbell, D.V.M. and an SSRI that is frequently used by BB members and apparently also prescribed for some dogs in Oregon but, that is another story/stories. ;)

It's back ... I remember this kind of thing happening decades ago. Still no explanation, only unanswered questions.

Wow, how bizarre!  I hope they get to the bottom of it.
