Beginning Celexa

Hi. So I’m restarting Celexa after not having to take it for a couple years. I always have greater anxiety when beginning until I get used to the drug. I am also on Xanax. I wanted to discontinue Xanax by taper. However I feel I need to get right with the Celexa, then begin the taper of Xanax. Anyone have thoughts on this, I feel like I shouldn’t take the Xanax and am succeeding making myself more anxious. Thx.

Sounds like a reasonable plan. Do you have a doctor you are working with on your taper? I was lucky and had a pdoc that knew about tapering.
