[Jo...]
Dr. Edward Paul in Manhattan. A friend of mine worked with him. I spoke with him. He is rather expensive ( all out of pocket). He just follows the Ashton method of crossing over to Valium and doing a slow taper. He doesn’t know much else, like the use of scales and a DLMT. He uses a cut and hold approach ( I need to do a daily micro cut). I think the best thing is that a doctor like him would never force you into a fast taper. He understands those risks ( not all doctors do). I just decided to stick with my current doc and learn from BB. You may want to work with Dr. Paul, however. All the best! [...]
Thank you to all the people who responded. Re the specific docs mentioned, are they people who would encourage drugs in protracted benzo WD? I'm four years off. I need to be under the care of a psychiatrist but I want a doctor who won't prescribe drugs, if that makes sense. I want a doc who will know they are dangerous for me.
