Absolutely true!!

They are not good for benzo withdrawal.

Some of them can be fairly effective for drugs of abuse like alcohol, opiates, etc.  The withdrawal period for most drugs of abuse is days, or a few weeks.  So so an intensive residential treatment can work for that.

Unfortunately, the "recovery" from benzo dependence is genarally much longer.
