Safe dose of valium?

My current substitution taper plan will put me on a fairly large amount of Valium (around 20mg in a single dose before bed).

 

I've ever only taken Benzos before bed, so I'd rather not have to take it during the day.

 

Is it safe to take this much Valium at once?
