Mirtazapine c/t

I c/t off of Mirtazapine after 2 weeks on, 1 week off, 2 weeks on. I started at 7.5, went to 15 and then started breaking hem in half as they made me off. I went c/t when my dr moved to Klonopin and I have been having issues ever since stabilizing, but was also c/t earlier in the year from Ativan 1 mg after a few months PRN. I have had chronic insomnia for 8 months and need sleep desperately. I have been tapering off Valium in which I switched over to quickly (1 week) and have dropped over 50 percent in one month. I hope I have not messed up my CNS, Does any one have a suggestion on a sleeping aid?
