Help what to do.

Hi there guys. I have been taking valium to help me sleep for many years now..maybe 10 or so. But in last 3-4 have been using about 5-15mg per night. About 10 days ago went away to the country and left the valium at home in the city. I started to feel strange but after a week I really noticed the withdrawals kicking in with the muscle cramps hot flushes blurry vision and rushing feeling. I wasn't sure what to do. The doctor wasn't much help. Last night I felt really bad my breathing was off and I felt on the verge of a seizure so I decided to take some valium again. Hope I haven't injured myself too much. Would love some advice. Thanks

The max recommended cut is 5-10% every 2 weeks. Many of us have to go slower, depending on our medication and what we can handle. Here are the boards on tapering. Feel free to print out anything you wish, and share it with your doctor.
