My best tapering method from benzos

[...]

Recommended Posts

Presently considering to start tapering my benzo.

Am on lexotanil 3 mg (daily dose) for more than 25 years now.

Would like to learn the best way to go about it with minimum withdrawal symptoms.

Also would like to know how to organise to face this process in terms of diet, exercises, meditation, etc.

Would be interested in success histories from long-term benzo users

Thanks

Hi Ytam. Welcome to BenzoBuddies.

Glad you’re here for information and support. Long term use merits a careful taper but is certainly doable. Let me give you some helpful links to get started.

This is the best place to ask taper questions:

Welcome, I'm new here, too.  I'll admit I had to look up Lexotan.  You stated you are taking 3 mg a day and are looking at options for a taper.  If you decide on a liquid taper (that's what I'm using) you can take part of your dose dry and use liquid for part.  Later on, if you choose this method, you can take all the doses using liquid.  There are many things you can do with diet to prepare.  I avoid MSG, sugar, and caffeine mainly.  You'll find an abundance of information on BB and the members are very helpful.
