I think I am tapering to fast, HELP!!!

I recently switched from Klonopin .5 mg to Valium 8 mg. My Dr had me to 50/50 for one week before making the switch. I did .25 K and 5mg V, Then I started at 8 mg V and started tapering 1 mg per 7 to 10 days. I am down to six and have been feeling terribly ill. I sleep 2 to 3 hours and have been bed bound. I'm not sure if I should increase my Valium and then start a slower taper or what could help me at this point.. Any advice would be greatly appreciated!

I don’t have any personal experience tapering, but I believe the Ashton manual recommends cutting 5 to 10 percent every couple of weeks. There are entire boards on this site dedicated to tapering. You would probably find sounder advice on them.
