Can the withdrawal symptoms worsen due to the flu??

Hi everyone,

First sorry for my english...i'm from Holland.

I'm almost 5 months in withdrawal after short term use (six weeks) of oxazepam.

The last few days I had a sore swollen throat and a fever. I was sweating a lot and didn't feel well.

But I also had the feeling that my withdrawal became a lot worse. Is that more common? It all makes me so insecure because I have used it for such a short time.

Thanks!

I know for myself, that any type of illness, like viruses can rev up my symptoms. It seems very common. I hope you feel better soon!

I had a stomach flu in May and became severely dehydrated.  It took me almost a month to recover from the increase in severity of my withdrawal symptoms.  I was doing fairly well up until that point, it was horrible enough having the flu but then my symptoms became almost intolerable.  I think it is a shock to the body when we have an illness and any upset to the body can cause an increase in withdrawal symptoms.
