Crossing getting confusing- is this “normal “? Feedback please!

I wrote last week that I started to cross from X XR to V. Switched one dose. It went pretty well, I ended up taking 6.5 V at night and was fairly comfortable though tired.

Yesterday I decided to switch the morning dose. I  took 5 mg hoping not to be as sleepy as I have been in the evenings. My whole body is twisting and tight- these are the main symptoms I’ve taken X for. I have major crick in my neck along with mild nausea and headache.

Today I started with 6 mg and felt at least as bad, took another sliver so now close to the evening dose that was working.

Im wondering if this reaction is the change from one drug to another? Or is it dose related? I know we are all different and I’m sensitive so there are no rules.

Has anyone found that the symptoms in the first days without your “old” long term med are going to be hard in spite of an adequate dose  - and does this smooth out if you hang in there?
