new member considering crossover to valium. feedback appreciated

I'm taking .25 mg clonazepam. started about 4 months ago on temazepam and stopped due to bad side effects. switched to clonazepam about 2 1/2 months ago+/-. Went as high as 5 mg and a couple times higher than that. Temazepam use was higher before I understood what it was all about. I am having a hard time with clonazepam making me hyper-awake now instead of sleepy, so I really want off of it. At this point would switching to valium be a bad idea or a possible better situation? Thanks for info.
