Do You Suffer From Emotional Pain or Anxiety? Pop a Tylenol

I suffer from crippling anxiety and was desperate to find something to help, so I took an acetaminophen or ibuprofen tablet, I don't remember which, and it actually seemed to help. Curious if there was any merit to the connection or if it was "all in my head," I Googled and found an article which suggests that emotional pain and anxiety can be helped by pain relievers. Maybe this is old news on this forum, but I had never heard of the connection before and wanted to share in case it could help others.

Popping a pill for anxiety or emotional pain... Um, isn't that exactly what got us into this mess to start with??

On a side note, acetaminophen (Tylenol) is not harmless: https://drlwilson.com/Articles/TYLENOL.htm

The reason pain relievers temporarily seem to 'help' some forms of anxiety is that they decrease inflammation -- type 'inflammation anxiety depression' into Google and you'll find the peer-reviewed studies that explain this. Only problem is, they mess up your gut and liver function in the process (both of which are already temporarily compromised by benzos)....
