Has anyone ever switched from Xanax to Lorazepam?

Hey guys!

So I'm thinking of doing a substitution taper by switching from Xanax to Lorazepam. I used to take Lorazepam as needed, and the few times I took it every day for a few months and when I needed to taper off of it again, the withdrawal was fairly smooth with not a lot of noticeable side effects for me. I'm not sure if that's a common reaction to Lorazepam or not.

Has anyone tried this before? My psychiatrist wants me to look at all the withdrawal plans there are and see which one fits me best, and this may be it, but I'd like to know if anyone has any insight or wisdom for me.
