[Fo...] Posted May 30, 2019 Share Posted May 30, 2019 It’s not just dementia ANticholic activity is side effect of AP and some other psychotropics. They cause dry secretions and tenacious sputum, a common cause of chest infections in all ages particularly the elderly. When I complained about these side effects to my ENT consultant he just said drink more-) Quetiapine which I was on is commonly used in the elderly confused. Hence the name chemical cosh in the uk.
