I completely agree with you, [...]. Any exercise is better than nothing.
Our bodies were meant to move, so it makes sense they reward us by making us feel good for doing so. Even if it's just gentle stretching in bed, if one is truly bed bound.
This article definitely has its own shortcomings, as you pointed to an example. However, the overarching theme - exercise before medication - I absolutely concur with. Particularly when it's been shown (see Breggin, Healy, Reed, Gřtzsche, Whitacker, etal) that psych meds actually disrupt brain function and only beat placebos for the short term, while carrying a host of debilitating side effects. Compare that to the side effects of exercise weighing in on the positive.
