Mirtazapine Flu

I’m tapering off mirtazapine. Without a doubt it’s been much more difficult to get off of than it was getting off Xanax via Valium taper or Doxepin. I’m now at 4.2mg and it seems it gets worse the lower I go. Each cut I feel like I have a bad case of the flu when I wake up each morning, taking 10-12 days to smooth out. Mornings are miserable, awful!!!  Anyone else had anything comparable with their mirtazapine taper? Once I get to 3.75mg, 1/2 of a 7.5mg tablet I’m going to hold there for a while for some relief
