Menthol is a PAM - who knew!

So, to try to stop the compulsive biscuit binges I went back on nicotine spray a few months back but that is causing my tonsil to swell so got some nicotine lozenges to try.

Wishing a minute of putting it in my mouth my head started fizzing and whooshing terribly - much worse than usual.

So I looked up the infredients and then googled them.

They contain Menthol which ot turns out is a Positive Allosteric Modulator for the GABAa receptor.

So I guess that is what is causing i

I have never had intolerances or bad reactions to anything in my life before this it is insane.
