Xyzal (Levocetirizine) Allergy Medicine!

[...]

Recommended Posts

I have a skin condition eczema and I visited skin specialist.  She gave me Xyzal (Levocetirizine Dihydrochloride) for anti allergy.

I took one tablet and it gave me 9+ hours of sleep. I don't think its a benzo and she also confirmed it.

Any one taking Xyzal during withdrawal.

Can some one confirm is it safe to take during withdrawal?

The active ingredient in Xyzal is levocetirizine dihydrochloride and one of the "side effects" is making you sleepy.

although insomnia was listed as a possible side effect too.

It doesn't work on Gaba like a Benzo and is designed for shorter term use.  6-8 weeks from what I read.

It does have a litany of other "possible" side effects too so you might want to check that out and weigh the risks versus the benefits.
