Can benzo cause some permanent damage to the brain like Lyme disease can?

Could benzo do that

Like chronic Lyme disease that they don’t heal

Not from what I have read and heard from others.  All of the damage is TEMPORARY and reversible. 

Don't worry about anything being permanent.  It all fades and ends one day.
