Tapering off a low dose of xanex

I am currently taking 1.3 mlgr of xanex per day for about a year to a year and a half. I have afib caused by panic attacks but I want off of this medication. Can I quit cold turkey on such A low dose? I am trying to avoid seizures and panic attack’s. Please let me know if I need to taper or if I can just stop. Thanks for all your help!

DO NOT cold turkey - everyone who has done a cold turkey or been forced to do one suffers. The best approach is a very slow taper. Check out the Titration Board and consider doing a daily liquid micro-taper. The slower you can go, the better. I would not even do a rapid taper.

 

You will heal but you can NOT go cold turkey.
