[La...]
This morning on CBC Radio, I heard an interview with a media expert who mentioned that Xanax is one of the top name-brand items mentioned in music these days. It's not something that I'd thought about before, so I did a little bit of research to follow up. Here are a couple of articles that I found: "25 Rap Songs That Reference Xanax" from themusicalhype.com: https://themusicalhype.com/25-rap-songs-reference-xanax/ "These Are the Drugs Influencing Pop Culture Now" from vulture.com, which mentions not just Xanax, but other legal and illegal drugs: https://www.vulture.com/2018/02/the-drugs-influencing-pop-culture-right-now.html
[mo...]
Unbelievably dark, pretty frightening. Kind of hard to know what to say. Really sorry that this is popular culture now, makes me feel like it would be nice to be able to rewind back to the 70’s or 80’s in so many ways... not all ways, but in many. [La...]
Yes, I know what you mean, mon pilote. I'm not a rap fan, so it's not something I would likely have come across on my own, but having heard this info on CBC Radio this morning and reading a bit further on it...well, yes, I agree that it's rather sad.
