[Ba...]
I am curious about this. Seems to be long acting. Seems to be useful for sleep (my issue). But nobody seems to use this for tapering...... ? Anyone tried it? I have noticed conversions from say valium to flurazepam all over the place, from it being 2x to 3x to 6x weaker. thanks. Guest [be...]
Try searching under Dalmane, I found one link: http://www.benzobuddies.org/forum/index.php?topic=164004.msg2186024#msg2186024 The conversion shows 15 mg's Dalmane = 5 mgs V and that it is highly lipid soluble. Not sure why it isn't used more often.
[Ba...]
I don't see conversion llisted there or 'lipid solution' , whatever that is. Ashton DOES offer a conversion, and it i relatively weak (weaker than valium) and long acting so might be possible? thx. I guess you'd have to dump it out of a capsule to measure it, tho... Lipid means fat soluble. Valium, Klonopin and Flurazepam are highly lipid soluble, I.E., meaning one could use a lipid solution as in whole fat milk. [Ba...]
Thanks, did not know that. I guess librium is more popular than Dalmane for tapering. My dr mentioned it among the various possibilities for me. I think he does not know what to do with me! Poor him and poor me!!! hehe
[By...]
I was wondering about dalmane too... But seems like i would need 45mg to equal my amount of k (are these things even right?)
[Ba...]
I don't know what dose you are on of K, but think for Dalmane would be 2 or 3 times the mg to be equivalent...

On 1.5mg of K, an online converter calculator said 45 mg (range 6 to 45 mg)....THAT RANGE IS HUGE!
Guest [be...]
Looking at benzo calculator conversions, two show 1.5 mg's K = 45 mg's Flurazepam. http://benzos.tripsit.me/ https://clincalc.com/Benzodiazepine/ One showed 1.5 mg's K - 90 mg's Flurazepam http://psychopharmacopeia.com/bzd_dose_convert.php The discrepancies could be why this is not an option used, IMO, though I really cannot verify that. I dunno, I've seen those ranges with other conversions too....its nuts how do you even know where to start??
[Ba...]
I know... it is certainly at least half the strength of valium but how much weaker I guess they don't know? Are any of these easier to get off of than valium?
