Ganaxolone

I found this and thought it might be interesting, though probably not that useful for any of us now.

This drug, which is currently being evaluated in human trials, is a synthetic version of allopregnanolone, a very strong neuro-steroid that works like benzos and is produced naturally by our brains.  This substance is said to be much stronger than benzodiazepines but does not cause dependence or withdrawal.  Perhaps this will someday be a solution to the "benzo problem."
