I just ordered an EBB Insomnia Device that was just recently cleared by the FDA

It will be here tomorrow. Hoping this helps! It's $699 but you can get a free 30 day trial. Basically it runs cooled fluid through a head band that you wear while you sleep and as it cools it slows down the activity in your frontal cortex. They say it can be as effective as a sleeping pill.

Anyone ever heard of this?

A friend of mine, who is into yoga and natural healing, told me that putting a cold compress on the forehead is good for relieving tension and reducing stress.  It seems that perhaps this device works on a similar principle, but at night.  Looking forward to your reports on it.

  • 2 weeks later...

I took this idea and tried with a cold pack last night. I slept.

I hadnt slept in 9 days. I dont know if the cold pack was why i slept or a few of the other things i did.

I read that tart cherry juice helps induce sleep so i started drinking that.

I bought a weighted blanket and last night was the first night i used it.

I took 2 melatonin .6 mg (i ithink thats the dose)

I did some relaxation stuff before bed.

I also had taken seroquell the night before and the morning before but i did not take it last night so i dont know if that played a part in it.  But i do not want to get on another pill long term. So im hoping it was the other things i did and not the seroquel still in my system.
