Switching to Vaiium for Taper

Hi,

I am having trouble figuring out the Valium equivalency to the meds that I am taking.

At night only I take  6 mg of Lunesta and 2 mg of Lorazepam for sleep. Can you please tell me the mg of Valium I would need to take to replace these two drugs. I think it would be easier for me to taper from one drug instead of two.

Hi Pacey1-

The Valium equivalence for 2mg of loeazapam would be 20mg . 6mg of lunesta would be 20mg V. So you would need 40 mg Valium to replace both.

I don't know anything about Valium. Is 40mg considered a high dose. I know I am on a high dose of Lunesta.
