Please do not comment on whether you do or don't like Drudge Report, the point is that via Drudge the article was linked to large readership (and with a graphic).  DrudgeReport gets 1.5 billion page views per month:  https://www.politico.com/blogs/on-media/2016/08/more-than-two-decades-old-the-drudge-report-hits-a-new-traffic-high-227008

One thing does worry me - the possibility of unintended consequences.

It will be fine if this all leads to better withdrawal help but what if it leads to lots of people being suddenly told by Drs to get off of their meds without adequate knowledge of withdrawal.

The publicity around opioids has left a lot of pain patients without necessary pain relief in the USA and has resulted in an increase in suicides by those in severe pain.

I, too, worry about the possibilities of unintended consequences. Tapering slowly is of utmost importance. Sure, there are those who can get off the drug easily the first or second time. That may cloud the doctors' opinions about benzos. How can we make certain that it is clear to doctors that getting a patient off quickly is a potentially dangerous consequence for some people? Do doctors realize that it can lead to seizures and sometimes death??? Even a quick taper (as doctors are prone to ask their patients to do) can have deleterious effects, sometimes lasting for years.

This HAS to be made known to doctors.
