Need help Deciding how to spread out Ativan doses ??

Hi, I need advice on how to spread out my Ativan dose? Six weeks ago I was at 2 mg, I am now at 1.5 mg daily.  I take .5 mg two hours after waking, then 1 mg about 3 1/2 to 4 hours later. I am  fearing when I get down to smaller doses that it just does not last long enough. Any advice would be appreciated. Thank you
