Took 1 mg Nightly Can I Switch to .5 mg Twice a Day

Been on Clonazepam 1 mg (I take 2 of the .5 mg at once) once a day at night since March 2018. Can I just switch to taking .5 mg twice a day without any issues?

 

Things aren’t going well and for some reason drinking mineral water I didn’t realize has been making me feel withdrawl symptoms. Like bad reactions to the magnesium chloride and sulfate in Evian water and Smart Water. Maybe I have kidney issues.

 

I want to get off the Clonazepam so I’m wondering even if I should just start tapering rather than split it up twice a day. I thought it might help set me up for better taper.

 

Before this I was on Xanax 1 mg in Jan 2018 for 11 days and Clonazepam .5 mg once a day 2010-2014 cold turkeyed reinstated after a few months then tapered for a year but stupidly reinstated for a week a year later then off for 10 days then on for a week then stopped til a year later.

I divide my daily dose of ativan into 3 equal parts and take each dose every 8 hours and it works well for me. Good luck!
