Simple words can mean so much

I was at my good friends house the other day, telling her about what I was going through with kpins and my way too fast taper that is really hard but unavoidable at the present time. She got off xanax by herself c/t which shocked me because she'd take the Xans even longer than I'd been on K. She didn't recommend it to me, of course but she did have some really simple words that hit me so hard I cried for hours, repeating it in my head over and over.

"You want to quit, but you don't, and then it's over"

I'm not sure why those words feel so powerful to me but I've written it every where and say it all the time when I'm feeling bad and somehow it helps. I don't know if anyone else will grab on to this almost comically short phrase but if there was a chance it would help someone, I had to share
