Need help with LT plan to finish taper. Please and thank you.

I've been dry cutting using a plan that I got from here. It has been going great but the pill is getting pretty small and hard to cut. Sxs start about 3-4 days after taper. I'm cutting every 2-3 weeks and have always stabilize.

 

I'm at 0.1875mg. I take 0.09375mg BID. I have a limited amount for pills 71 left to finish my taper after I finish this cut. My doctor is somewhat on board but it is hard to reason with him. I would like to LT the rest of possible. Can you help with making me a plan based on the information?

There's a lot of ways to do this, but I think this works.  If you were to dissolve one of your 0.5 mg pills in 2 mls of alcohol (vodka, for example), then add 98 mls of water, you could take the following doses (in mls) each morning and evening.  Each pill will make multiple days worth of liquid, so don't throw the leftovers away.  This is a 200+ day schedule with 1% daily cuts.  At the end, your total daily dose would be around 0.025 mg per day which is probably a decent place to jump.  You have plenty of pills to do this.  If 1% daily cuts are too large, then you could take the same dose for 2-3-4 days in a row.  I think that you have enough pills to repeat doses for 4 days if you need to.

 

Note that when people switch to liquid, they often feel like they get a 5-10% reduction in their dose.  So when you switch, you might want to hold for a couple of weeks before beginning daily cuts.

Thank you for replying.  I'm afraid to use alcohol because I had a drinking problem while on benzo's and I am 6 months sober and I'm starting to crave alcohol again. I don't want to mess my sobriety, I know that even a small amount will trigger it. It feels like an endless snowball effect. Alcohol>Anxiety/Panic>Benzo>Repeat.

 

I want to get as low as I can. I tried cutting my dose in half for 6 days because stopping and ended up in benzo hell for two months before having to reinstate. I've been kindled this time and my body is very sensitive. I think that I can get as low as 0.03125mg with dry cutting, after that the pills get to small.  I also miscalculated about how many pills I would have left to complete the taper. I would only have about 51 pills to work with. If I started LT at 0.15625mg. If that made any sense. I'm bad with numbers and I'm in a wave from this last cut.

Propylene glycol is an alternative to using alcohol.  The taper will still work for 51 pills, but you can't hold 4 days per cut - just 2-3 days per cut.

Thank you. Do you know what rate would that be if I  tapered every 2-3 days? I'm really bad at trying to figure it out.
