What Causes Upon Waking Throw up Feelings?

Well I been sleeping somewhat I guess but because I always take a half dose of Nyquil a Night, my sleeps I still have bad dreams and still wake ups

 

My One Question is if anyone else had this issue, Last night fell asleep at 1am got up at 4am quick and right away as I woke up stuff felt like it was coming up my throat and I needed to puke, there was a nasty taste in my mouth but I did not fully Puke at all

 

This happen to anyone else?! What causes that

I get this too. Nausea upon waking. I dry heave but no vomiting.

I know this is an old thread, but i  can confirm this happened to me today. I woke up feeling really nauseous and felt vomit coming up whilst lying down and ran to the bathroom. very weird symptom if its a symptom of withdrawal

It's most likely acid reflux or some type of GERD--Gastroesophageal reflux disease?

 

I have had this off and on for years, but it was worse during WD.

 

Try not to eat too late at night and avoid spicy food.  Use a digestive enzyme with each meal and raise the head of your bed up.

Probably a cortisol surge.
