Tapering slow?

Dear BB Warriors:)

Maybe someone can shine me some light on this taper doing the liquid titration.

I was told by a member that tapering 0.05 mg a month is a steady and a smooth taper, Also you have to listen to your body. Does any one know anything about this?

For example:

5/6  0.20 <<<Ativan  2 mg Valium-Diazepam

6/6  0.15<<<Ativan  1.5 mg Valium -Diazepam

7/6  0.10<<<Ativan  1 mg Valium - Diazepam

So on and so forth

Hope to hear from someone:)

Well, less than 2mg of V reduction per year suits me atm...

-others are slower, some faster...

So it comes down to finding the speed you can tolerate...

Your SX will soon tell you, "listen to your body"... you may like to hold at a dose if things get unmanagable... and/or adjust your taper speed...

Best of luck...

Hey Rayban,

One  suggestion is to taper one benzo at a time.  If I'm reading you correctly you are tapering both Ativan and Valium?

The most common route would be to taper the ativan first...

It's hard to know what is doing what when there are too many variables in the mix -- or that is my experience...

Just FYI...

Hope it all goes well!
