Could l-Theanine trigger anxiety?

I took l-Theanine last night before bed, obviously didn’t sleep till like 4:30 am and then I woke up an hour later with an anxiety attack. So I’m wondering if that could be the trigger. Any thoughts?

I have read a few cases on-line where people seem to have had a paradoxical reaction to l-theanine, and they said that it triggered more anxiety for them.

Yup I ad that happen to me too.  It seams like after a few days of L-theanine use it starts to do that.  My dosage is usually 200 mg as needed or max 800 mg a day.

has more of an effect of increasing dopamine and less effect on blocking glutamine.  Sorry for the spelling after only 2 hours of sleep.
