Jerks in all parts of body upon trying to sleep

Anyone got jerks resulting from reducing benzo dose and if so how do you manage? Its hard, when i am about to doze off, Arms, head legs hands jerks strong to awake me again. Any tips to manage or to ride them out?

Benzssri, I just had to ride it out. I did notice once I slowed my taper down, the jerks were less.  Time also helped.

All I am left with now is RLS, which I did not have before I was prescribed clonazepam. I read on my FB page that drinking 6 oz of tonic water stops that. I have not tried that, yet, but may just to see if it actually does work. I am doubtful. ha

I don't think that there is much to be done by the jerks and starts, but they are usually one of the first major withdrawal symptoms to go away.

FYI I did drink some tonic water and the RLS did stop. Two days later I got sick with a sore throat and cough. I know it was a coincidence, but I never drank the tonic water after the first night. The RLS started back up two days later.
