Magnesium rebound anxiety?

I sometimes use magnesium malate when i feel too overstimulated, it works really well but the problem is i get rebound anxiety the next day, and my myoclenic jerks are worse.

Anyone else experiencing the same problem?

some people are revved up by magnesium.  Sometimes, switching the type of magnesium (I take magnesium glycinate), or taking it earlier in the day can help.  Some people take magnesium in the morning because they find it stimulating, others take it at night because they find it relaxing.

Magnesium supplements have a bad effect on me. I get significant anxiety and slow heart rate, without positive benefit.

 

However, I've found one way around this is to eat leafy greens with a big meal.

 

250g spinach = 200~ mg magnesium. A decent dose.
