Dr. David Juurlink's tweet yesterday about benzodiazepines and opioids

Dr. David Juurlink is a toxicologist, pharmacologist and professor at University of Toronto. He often tweets about medication-related issues in the news. I saw this one yesterday. You can click on the embedded tweet and read the back-and-forth about benzodiazepines there.

Scary reality!

It's good that people like Dr. Juurlink are paying attention to such things, though. Here in Canada, he has been called on by the federal health minister to discuss the issues surrounding the opioid crisis. I keep hoping that there will be similar attention paid to the benzo problem.
