Help with taper off of long term Paxil use

Hi there.  This board helped so much when I DC'd Klonopin last year.  I have a friend who wants to DC using Paxil.  She has been on 20mg for 29 years.  Can anyone provide a slow taper schedule?  Thanks

Is DC discontinued? I never took paxil but I did taper lexapro. I recommend getting a liquid prescription and tapering 5-10% every 1-2 weeks. One word of caution about the liquid formulation for SSRIs- they are often highly concentrated (at least for lexapro and zoloft they were). If you drop the liquid straight in your mouth it burns for a long time! I diluted in water and drank it, which will work if the formulation is soluble/miscible in water.
