this is what she said about wd sx: (I do hope that Lori recovered eventually because she had a terrible time)

this was a message from Lori, who couldn't believe it was

all withdrawals and the response from Budgie

(I kept it because it was so accurate)

'Let me see if I can guess.

You feel like someone has opened up your skull and poured acid all

over your brain and spinal cord, and it branches out to every last

nerve ending in your body. It feels like you are underwater, with

and electrical cord stuck in the water source....and the voltage is

turned way up. Your brain feels like it shrinks and bounces against

your cranium, then the next minute it swells and feels like it will

bulge out of your ears, eyes and nose. Then there is the tickly,

bubbly, sizzling feeling, like those little bags of Pop Rocks we

used to get as a kid...only now it is in your brain.

Feels like your brain has turned to stone, or that it is clogged

with super glue.

Your teeth feel like they are loose in their sockets and will fall

out at any given moment.

Nerves are burnt and just thinking of answering the door or talking

to someone will instantanelously cause you to pass out. Heck, you

feel like just getting to the bathroom and going will cause you to

pass out. ( You may even be like me and be silly enough to carry a

phone around with you , in case you pass out. ) Just thinking of

things you used to do now causes panic.

The depression is so thick you feel like you can't breathe...and

like someone is pressing your head down and back as you try to go

forward. Swimming against a strong currant. You cry if you sneeze,

you cry at commercials, you cry for no reason at all. You may even

cry in your sleep.

Everything in your body now pops. Even things you never knew you

had...pops and cracks and snaps.

Your eyes burn, twitch and vibrate....and you swear they are about

to bleed.

Feels like your tongue has swollen ten times the size it used to be

and presses against your teeth. Then it gets sore form the constant

rubbing against the teeth. Feels like you licked a hot frying pan.

The floor moves beneath you at all times....like one of those

carnival funhouses, only it is not fun at all.

You feel drunker than a skunk. But not the fun kind of drunk.

Every centimeter of your alimentary canal...from your tongue to

your caboose...feels ripped to shreds and burns.

You feel possessed by demons.

You are sure you have no soul...it has been sucked away.

Feels like the air you breathe is tainted with chile peppers.

You can bend your ankle and feel the muscles pull in your neck.

A Tic Tac makes you feel like you took a hit of speed.

If you exert yourself too much, your vision starts to look like one

of those doorways that keeps getting farther and farther away, but

you are running as fast as you can to get to it. The world looks

like it is breathing ( walls, floors, ceilings, furniture, trees ).

Every cell burns and hurts and feels like it has changed into the

shape of an ice pick.

You get mad when you see the world's oldest person on tv has more

energy than you.

You want to spit at the person who tells you, "See, that man has no

legs. At least you have legs". Because in all honesty, you'd gladly

give up your legs on the spot if only you could feel better."

All this is just a drop in the bucket of things I have felt and

endured. And I was guaranteed a worsening of every bit of it each

time I tried a new pill to "help". pain everywhere, insomnia,

nausea etc etc etc etc

All that & then some for me...  Very descriptive writing. Makes a reader "feel" how devastating this withdrawal can be for some of us. At some point I too thought that there was NO WAY these bizarre, painful, lingering symptoms were all withdrawal. I even thought I may be "the worst case" too...but have since then read many stories of others who have/had symptoms just as severe. So we are not alone in this madness....

Maybe this post will help others who feel that they are the"worst case" & suffering with extremely painful, bizarre symptoms realize they are not alone & the only ones suffering with what seems to be the worst of the worst symptoms. Thanks for sharing this Polenta!

The good news is that at some point in time  IT ALL GOES AWAY! :yippee:

  • 2 weeks later...

That's a great description.

Do you have a link for that site?

I am sorry to say that it closed down a few years ago, but it was very good indeed whilst it lasted.
